This idea I got inspired from a picture of one of my favorite Punk singers, Johnny Rotten. I wanted to take a cardigan, and add more colours to it. Most of the time, cardigans only have one solid colour, but I thought they would look more appealing with more then one.
I was looking at pictures of Johnny Rotten, the lead singer of the Sex Pistols, and I came across this image.
I noticed that half of the sleeves where of a different material. And so I thought if I took that idea, and applied it to my original cardigan concept, it would work.
And so I came up with this.
I took two colours, one red and one white. I made the red one smaller so it would fit on the inside, making the white colour as the outline. Then, I made the bottom half of the sleeves a different material, similar to the picture above of Johnny Rotten. Though it felt kind of empty, so I thought of putting in another add on. On the back, is of the cardigan is a hump, sort of. I haven't really figured out what it is, but to me it looked cool. I would sort of take a piece of cardboard (or a material that wouldn't be uncomfortable) and stick it in the cardigan, and then stitch it back up. I thought it resembled a futuristic look, like how some robots have something sticking out the back of their armor to protect the back of their head. Though i'm not sure if it would work, originally I had a hood in place of it, but I thought I would be creative.
